The hike begins near the shores of the Beagle Channel. The trail ascends through the forest with a steady but not very steep slope. In some sections, the path may be muddy as it traverses the south-facing slope of the mountain, which has higher levels of moisture. However, for the most part, the terrain tends to be stable.
After approximately an hour and a half of hiking, you will reach the city viewpoint, which also offers a magnificent view of the Beagle Channel and the Hoste and Navarino islands. About a kilometer further, you will reach the highest point of the mountain, from where you can also admire the Murray Channel, Zaratiegui Cove, and Lapataia Bay.
