This excursion is perfect for those who want to stray away from the common places offered by mass tourism and want to delve into those charming spots that only locals know. This experience aims to highlight the beauty of simplicity, as we believe that sometimes all we need to fully enjoy a special moment is a sunset campfire in a dreamlike setting, where we can connect with nature and with ourselves.

The plan is to embark on an easy walk to the old grounds of Estancia Túnel, crossing portions of a beautiful subantarctic forest that reveals the natural richness of the area. Although there isn't much activity at the estancia these days, walking there will allow us to marvel at the surrounding landscapes as we follow the winding trail along the coast of the Beagle Channel.
Once we reach the estancia, we will venture to a nearby small hilltop where we will enjoy the best panoramic view of the city, the majestic Beagle Channel, and the imposing mountains that surround us. In this exposed location, we may have the chance to experience the strong southwest winds that occasionally sweep this Beagle Channel coast. With the proper attire and by overcoming the instinct to seek shelter, we will feel the thrill of being completely exposed to the forces of nature.
On our way back, we will have the opportunity to discover archaeological sites that belonged to the ancient indigenous inhabitants of the region: the Yamana. These remnants will transport us to past times and allow us to immerse ourselves in their history and culture.
At the end of the excursion, we will delight in an exceptional culinary experience. We will enjoy an outdoor dinner at a charming campground located on the shores of the Beagle Channel. There, beside a warm campfire, we will share a delicious Argentine barbecue. In case the weather is unfavorable, we will have the opportunity to be welcomed by a local family in their home, where we can also savor the authentic flavors of the region.
The thrill of enjoying the simplicity of nature and the warmth of a sunset campfire in this beautiful landscape will be a truly unforgettable experience. We will feel fortunate to immerse ourselves in the authenticity of Ushuaia, exploring a trail that is less frequented by tourists but is one of our favorite places near the city.
